Alison believes that the path to healing is a collaborative process between the client and therapist and strives to provide a safe and transformative environment for every client. Alison is trained in client-centered psychodynamic therapy with a focus on integrating mindfulness and insight into the mind/body connection.
Alison has received specialized training in non-verbal therapy modalities, including the expressive arts, sand tray therapy and play therapy, and offers these as supplements to traditional talk therapy as ways to access and process difficult thoughts and feelings.

Alison received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Alison previously worked as a clinical case manager, group facilitator, individual and family therapist, and clinical manager in Washington, D.C. and northern California.
