Beyond Self-Care: The Pivotal Practices You Need To Address Burnout

December 16, 2022 @ 9:00 am 10:30 am

Burnout is a consequence of physical, psychological, socioeconomic, and/or social-emotional needs not being met. Once you have made the decision to begin on your burnout recovery journey your next step is to identify what those unmet needs are and how you will meet them. How do you begin to do this? You begin by doing truth-telling practices. Attend this presentation to learn about these practices, actually practice a few, and hopefully leave with a few new insights you can share with others.

Please note: The HPG workshop series is approved by the D.C. Board of Social Work for ten 1.5 hour workshops from Sept – June for a total of 15 CEUs if you attend all workshops. CEU certificates are emailed upon request in July. There is a requirement of 2 CEU credit hours or more for a certificate.

* This HPG presentation will be recorded. For those who would like to attend, but find that the time of the presentation doesn’t work with your schedule, you may signup and get the recording of the presentation afterwards.

About the presenter:

Located in Washington DC, Adrienne Banks is the founder and service provider for the wellness practice, Sunset Moth Wellness. She is a health educator, holistic health practitioner, and public health professional. Her passion, and area of expertise, is in burnout recovery and prevention. She jokes that the universe answered her calling by thrusting her into multiple burnout experiences just to see if she was serious. All jokes aside, the lack of opportunities in our collective society to learn empowering communication and emotional regulation skills has contributed to a growing healthcare crisis. Through her work, Adrienne strives to play a role in addressing this. You can learn more about Adrienne and her work at www.sunsetmothwellness.com.
