About This Presentation

How satisfied are you with your poop schedule? Do you experience gastro distress on a weekly or monthly basis? When you’re nervous or upset, where do you tend to feel it in your body? These can easily be questions health professionals ask in psychotherapy sessions.

Yet, many clinicians are unfamiliar with the questions to ask or the responses to offer when client’s share information about their gastro health.

In this presentation, Dr. Duffing will share questions that can be integrated into client sessions. Participants will learn about the significant utility that these questions offer in reducing health stigma and barriers to effective treatment.

Participants can expect to learn: (1) methods of gut-brain health assessment, (2) tools and resources that can help individuals in distress, and (3) when a referral to a gastro specialist may be warranted.
