Come hear equine therapists Ellie Williams and Janelle Mancuso highlight the power of incorporating animals into therapeutic work with individuals and groups. Understand how you might be able to incorporate basic tenants of animal assisted therapy into your current practice. Also learn about various options for continuing education.
Please note: The HPG workshop series is approved by the D.C. Board of Social Work for ten 1.5 hour workshops from Sept – June for a total of 15 CEUs if you attend all workshops. CEU certificates are emailed upon request in July. There is a requirement of 2 CEU credit hours or more for a certificate.

About the presenters:
Ellie Williams has been the Executive Director of EquiTeam Support Services for 15 years. Here she enhances the psychological and emotional health and well-being of individuals, families, and groups through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine-Assisted Learning. She is Advanced-certified in EAGALA Model Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy/Learning, an EAGALA Military Services Provider, EAGALA Mentor, and a certified Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Practitioner.
Janelle Mancuso has over 20 years of experience providing holistic and integrative behavioral health care. She incorporates advanced Mind Body Medicine, Internal Family Systems-Informed methods, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Strengths Based Treatment. Blending her modalities she works with individuals experiencing chronic illness, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement , Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, addiction and recovery. Janelle earned her Bachelor of Science degree from York College of Pennsylvania and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland.
