I’m Looking For Therapy That…
Goes Beyond Talk
Maybe you’ve tried talk therapy alone and haven’t had the success you want. Maybe you prefer creative expression or working with your body to chatting. Our brain (see below) and body-based therapies offer new paths towards healing—because sometimes, talk alone isn’t enough.
Not only do many of our clinicians offer body-based therapies, like yoga, Reiki, and Somatic Experiencing, but several are specially trained in trauma-informed versions of those practices.
Is efficient, and goes straight to the root of my concerns
Brain-based therapies such as EMDR and Brainspotting (BSP) are more efficient because they target the specific parts of your brain that you want to heal. EMDR and Brainspotting are particularly popular in treating trauma and addictive behaviors. Neurofeedback is often used for ADHD, sleep concerns, and other issues related to performance.
Helps me to be more present
Mindfulness is a tool that helps us become more aware of our emotional and physical experiences. It aims to help you decrease stress and increase your enjoyment of life.
Allows me to be creative
Expressive Therapies like Art, Nature, Play, Sandtray, etc, use creative arts to help you express emotions and heal from past experiences. Play therapy is particularly popular with children or those who struggle to verbalize their emotions.
Teaches me about my thoughts and behaviors
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies focus on identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. Psychodynamic therapy examines those patterns and how they began.
