Creativity and Embodiment for Trauma Transformation

January 17 @ 9:00 am 10:30 am

Experience the power of art for healing through movement, storytelling, and justice-driven practices.

Arla Patch is a visual artist, creativity midwife, award-winning author, and activist.

In this dynamic and captivating workshop, she will walk us through a number of specific healing processes that involve the power of creativity.

Art is a tool for transforming trauma and experiencing embodied healing. If you are seeking new applications for your clinical practice or skills for your own life, this workshop will provide you with fresh movement and nature-based tools.

Arla’s practices have been applied with incarcerated women, at-risk teens, survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and women who have faced breast cancer. Her interest in healing and justice also led her to work with Indigenous peoples on a truth commission and as a member of the Coalition of Natives and Allies.

I don’t usually engage in virtual presentations to any great extent, but Holistic Presentations for Growth is different. There’s a warmth of intimacy in this group that encourages and inspires participation through a mutual love of learning and a compassionate investment in what it means to be human. – J.B.
