Her modalities and areas of expertise include Brainspotting, psychedelic-assisted therapy, somatic techniques, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),  strengths-based therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.

I believe everyone has the inherent right to a safe and fulfilling life free from the harms of violence and oppression.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining The Viva Center, Faith was a practicing clinician at Harmony Holistic. There she provided trauma-informed therapy to couples and individuals. She applied modalities such as narrative therapy, mindfulness, harm reduction, and somatic-based therapies.

EDUCATION

Faith Ferber holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. She also has a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from American University.

Here’s what Faith’s clients say about her

"I began working with Faith Ferber when my previous counselor identified that I needed a trauma-informed approach, and the work has been incredible. Faith has helped me get more grounded in my body, to make connections between physical ailments and emotional patterns that I'd never understood, and perhaps most importantly, to understand myself in deeper and core ways. Faith brings a special combination of practices -- including brainspotting and internal family systems IFS) -- and deep commitments to justice -- which have been critical for sorting through the always-complicated mix of personal and collective matters. I highly recommend working with Faith!"

Beth - Individual Therapy

"I have and will continue to recommend The Viva Center and Faith Ferber specifically. (10/10) I give this score because getting started with you all and communication every step of the way was seamless. Faith was a great support through a very difficult experience and I was grateful to have her as a resource. She was always exceedingly professional while still being relatable and in my opinion always seemed fair in her input."

L - Individual Therapy

"I deeply appreciated having a group of people who I could talk to about covid knowing that instead of getting eye rolls I would get head nods, shared experience, and valuable advice. Faith did an incredible job of holding the space and somehow made it not feel awkward to share your feelings with a random group of strangers"
