Are you ready to be equipped with the tools you need to heal and live your best life? With the support of EMDRIA-certified and experienced therapist Hannah Braune Friedman you will experience a whole new landscape of possibility.
You can expect to experience warmth and nurturing from Hannah as she lends her talents to creating a safe space where you will feel valued and understood. Her 15+ years of experience allows her to partner with you on a deep level, fostering trust and openness. With a goal-focused approach, you will be able to measure your therapeutic goals as well as feel your healing on a physiological level. Explore your inner strengths and overcome challenges through options of your choosing including but not limited to meditation, visualization, body awareness and somatic techniques. You will feel compassion and experience true transformation on your path to meaningful changes and substantive healing results.
Hannah has had a wide array of therapeutic trainings that she is able to incorporate into your work. Your needs will be met as she can adeptly tailor your work by shifting between modalities. She is trained and/or certified in the following: EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist, Brainspotting, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness practice as well as incorporating various somatic approaches to your work.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Prior to coming to The Viva Center, Hannah served as a counselor with the Charles E Smith Jewish Day School, where she provided counseling and crisis intervention for students, and developed social emotional curriculum and policies for the school.
Hannah has also worked in a domestic violence shelter, a rape crisis center, and private practice. In addition to her work in the states, she has worked in Israel at a mental health clinic.
EDUCATION
Hannah received her Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work. She is licensed in both DC and CT. Hannah is trained in Brainspotting and actively integrates the technique into her practice at Viva.

Waiver of Liability & Informed Consent
Each of our Clinical Associates is a licensed practitioner. As required by licensure, treatment under a licensed practitioner is confidential. It also outlines the collaborative nature of the therapeutic relationship and co-responsibility for treatment outcomes.

This form outlines The Viva Center’s financial policies, rates, and out-of-network status.
Client Questionnaire
This form serves 2 purposes: It helps to capture the baseline experience when beginning treatment, allowing for an opportunity to take stock of current status. It also helps the clinician gather important background information without taking extra time in the first session. The first page of this form is required, and the others are supplemental. It is fine to exercise the decision to leave out any areas of the form. Please keep in mind any areas elected not to be disclosed at this time may be relevant to treatment outcomes.
