Optimal Living is a path, not a destination…

Optimal Living

I find myself reflecting on the fact that attaining an “optimal life” is not accurate nor possible to strive for. The fact of the matter is that life has ups and downs, times of stress and distress, and that each season has its own version of “living optimally”. The real goal is about building your stores of resources, support, and inspiration to live a little more optimally in one area at a time. The particularly sweet triumph on the PATH of optimal living is when a new practice is incorporated into daily life for more vibrancy and celebration. I suppose if I were to overly simplify this concept, the best of optimal living is truly and deeply loving yourself. When this is in operation at the core, it will be much easier to incorporate practices that honor that truth. To seek those practices and sources of expert information is essential to being empowered in self-care.

What is a refined exercise practice for you? It would be about pushing your own personal limit to care for your physical self.

What is the ideal nutritional program for you? That would depend on so many different factors related to your body and your needs.

What are the necessary social stretches to push you to live more fully as a connected member of your community? It is completely individual. For some, the “stretch” may mean pulling back to keep life in balance.

You get the idea; the nine areas of living that can always be optimized are as individual as the individuals living their lives and who are on the path to thriving…
